Oldham under 12’s won their first major tournament at Pontins last weekend.

They were unbeaten over the two days. Sunday afternoon saw Oldham meet a strong Woodley team. After a shaky start Oldham ran out winners 7 – 4.

This victory set up another match against Tameside. The last two matches against Tameside had ended in defeat 9 -8 at the Oldham tournament and 8 – 6 at Ribble Valley.

The girls were determined to finish a great weekend with a trophy.

Oldham went ahead with accurate passing and shooting to lead 3 -0 at half time.

Oldham continued to dominate with a further 4 goals added allied to superb defending. with 2 mins to go Oldham led 7 – 0.

Oldham finally closed out the game    9 – 2.
