Oldham’s U15 team began their quest to qualify for next year’s National championships with a comprehensive 85 – 16 demolition of Stockport U15 netball team. Under the guidance of Pam Hazleton and Jackie Reid the girls simply flew out of the blocks the incredible pace the Oldham girls played meant they couldn’t be contained by their rivals, the ball was fed in to Goal Shooter Amy Clinton with ease who clinically dispatched the shots allowing Oldham to build up a comfortable lead, the defence with Ellie Wright at wing defence particularly effective at breaking up play were equally effective when Stockport did manage any possession allowing only 5 goals to be conceded in the 1st half, This allowed the coaches to rotate the full squad available and the girls kept up the momentum to build up to what was this teams highest score in a national match.
