Oldham U15’s travelled to Oakhill College on Saturday 12th June 2010 to take part in the Ribble Valley tournament on a glorious June day.

Their first game was against Denton, Oldham struggled to get into their stride. Oldham were 4 – 3 down with less than a minute to play with a Denton centre pass. Denton started play with cries of “keep the ball the games over” from their spectators. A fantastic interception from Oldham GK Charlotte Stafford gave Oldham control of the ball which quickly turned into an Oldham goal to level the game. Oldham then took their centre pass but missed a shot and just couldn’t score before the final hooter. The result was a 4 -4 draw.

The next game saw Oldham beat Trafford in a low scoring game 5 – 4

Their third game was against the hosts Ribble Valley. Oldham ran out comfortable winners 8 – 3.

Following a short break Oldham faced West Pennine. They had now started to show their usual form winning 6 – 1.

After a one match break Oldham were back on court and beat Yendys with their highest goal difference of the day 9 – 2.

At this stage of the competition Oldham were on equal points with Denton and had to win their last game with a superior goal difference. This they achieved with some fast passing and solid all round defensive play and beat Rochdale 9 – 3 to win the U15’s competition.
