A fantastic day of netball once again from the U14 National Champions. Despite the weather and slippy courts we were able to show the other teams what good skills we have developed in all areas of the court. Throughout the day we were in full control. Blackpool came close in the first half of the semi final and gave us the sternest test of the day. We met Trafford in the final, they tried hard but were unable to put us under any pressure, the game ended with a comfortable 16 – 4 victory for Oldham.

The long gaps between games gave the girls a chance to do a little team bonding. They had great fun helping behind the counter on the refreshment counter, selling the cakes and biscuits they had made the night before. Linda used her entreprernurial skills to help auction a signed Manchester City shirt kindly donated by her brother. the shirt raised a fantastic £90.00 for the club.

A big thank you to all the parents who ran the refreshment, raffle and tombola stalls throughout the day.

All in all another very successful Oldham Tounament.
